About the Foundation
TidalHealth Foundation, established in 1993, is a Maryland non-profit corporation exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation raises funds for program expansion, capital projects, equipment, educational programs, and community health and wellness initiatives.
Governed by a Board of Directors, the Foundation receives contributions from individuals, businesses, and foundations. These contributions support TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, TidalHealth Nanticoke, and TidalHealth Atlantic through investments in medical equipment, patient care services, education programs, community outreach, and facility improvements.

Gifts designated for TidalHealth Atlantic will continue to support its programs, services, and patient care locally for the neighbors, families, and visitors who make this community special. While you may notice changes in branding and structure in the coming months, our commitment to high-quality care and community partnership remains unchanged. Together, this alignment enhances the impact of your philanthropic support for the people we serve.
Donors may direct gifts to a specific program, identified need, or hospital within the TidalHealth system, including TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, TidalHealth Nanticoke, or TidalHealth Atlantic. Unrestricted gifts received by the Foundation are directed to crucial community healthcare needs as determined by TidalHealth administration and the Board of Trustees. Current or future gifts of $25,000 or more may also be directed to establish an endowment fund for ongoing support of the organization, a specific service, or one of its hospitals.
Yes. Many donors choose to make gifts to honor happy occasions or to memorialize loved ones. Gifts can be directed to the Foundation in lieu of flowers, to thank a physician or nursing unit for exceptional care, or to support the recovery of an ill or injured family member or friend. The Foundation promptly acknowledges every gift with a personalized message.
Yes. The Foundation welcomes gifts of appreciated stocks, marketable securities, real estate, or other valuable assets. Donating appreciated property may also offer potential tax benefits to you as a donor.
Yes. Many friends of TidalHealth choose to make a deferred gift — one that is arranged today but received by the Foundation in the future. Our staff are happy to discuss options and guide you through the process.
